You see a female infant born at 39 weeks gestation for her two week check up. Birth weight was 3.2 kg. Her mother is nursing every 2 1/2 hours with one 5 hour stretch at night. She is exhausted and beginning to get depressed and feels like "all she does is breastfeed." She is also worried that the infant isn't getting enough to eat because her baby cries and seems hungry every 2 1/2 hours. Her mother suggested that she start giving the baby a bottle or two of formula a day. The baby's weight is 3.56 kg. Physical examination reveals no abnormalities.

Q1: How is this baby doing? What should be done for the mother?
