Susan, a visiting nurse calls you. She is making a routine visit to an 11 day old infant and her mother. The mother mentions that her daughter has had no stool since leaving the hospital. The infant is being breast fed every 3 to 4 hours, and nurses well, although the mother has to wake her to feed her. The infant looks well, her abdomen is not distended and is soft. Her birth weight was 3650 grams.
